Viral Arthralgia

C has been sick for weeks.    He has been waking up in the morning not being able to walk, stiff and, sore.  It takes a few hours and then some days he is running around again like normal.  There are other days like today where he has stayed sore most of the day just wanting to snuggle.  We took him to the doctor, they looked him over, took three vials of blood the blood came back good and they said it was viral arthralgia. First they told us it was a 7-10 day virus when it wasn't getting better we took him to ER, he couldn't even sit in the car and was saying he was having a shooting pain through his penis from one leg to the other.  At the ER they said it could be 3-6 weeks before he is better. He is up almost all night in pain.  We have begun to rotate Tylenol and Motrin.  Sometimes it works. It is the scariest in the middle of the night and when he first wakes up.  I have to carry him around to get dressed, use the bathroom, and eat breakfast.  

There is not a lot of information on the web.  I trust our doctors and am happy the blood work was clear.  I am also thankful they didn't just give us an antibiotic.  I just wish there was more information about out there.
